There are a wide variety of choices available to you for example:

Adult Literacy Service Provides adults with a chance to learn basic skills which may be needed for employment, further study and for use in their daily lives. There are opportunities to develop a range of skills in areas such as reading, writing, spelling, numeracy, form filling, letter writing, computer literacy and personal development. The tuition is free of charge and may be offered on a one to one basis or in a group setting, depending on individual needs. A range of accredited courses at QQI Level 1 to 3 are also available. Apprenticeships and Training Training Courses : Courses are suitable for people entering the workforce for the first time, early school leavers, people with disabilities, those wishing to change careers and looking to refresh their knowledge or gain new skills. More details here
Apprenticeship: is the recognised means by which people are trained to become craftspeople in Ireland.  Apprenticeship involves a combination of learning in the classroom and on-the-job training and aims to develop the skills of the apprentice to meet the needs of industry and the labour market. Back to Education Initiative (BTEI)  Part-time QQI accredited programmes – opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. All details here.
Community Education  Community based learning is focused on social and community empowerment and action. People take part in community education because they are committed to their local communities and are interested in its development. Click here for all the details.
Distance Learning Includes Open Learning, On-Line Learning and Distance Education. It involves learning at a distance from the tutor, with the help of packaged learning materials. See what ECollege has to offer in online learning.
English for speakers of other languages English Language Programmes are available for migrant workers, the unemployed and asylum seekers. Priority is given to those in need of Basic English language skills to a level of functional competency (A2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or QQI Level 3). Accreditation at QQI Levels 4 and 5 and/or IELTS preparation may be offered in some centres for a fee.

Higher/3rd Level Courses offered in Universities, Institutes of Technology and other Higher Education Institutions.  Undergraduate courses are offered at Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree or Honours Degree Level. Explore your options using Careers Portal.
Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) Full time courses offered in ETB Colleges to school leavers and adults in a range of subjects. PLC courses are useful as a preparation for work or entry route to 3rd level education.

Private training providers Variety of choices available
Skillnet Supporting and working with businesses in Ireland to address their current and future skills needs.  Funds are provided to groups of companies in the same region/sector, and with similar training needs, through training networks that deliver subsidised training to Irish businesses.
